PPOINTMENT OF CHAIRPERSON AND DIRECTORS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE PUMA ENERGY AND TIPER

The Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania as mandated under the Public Corporations Act and, in that on behalf of the Shareholder of PUMA Energy, hereby invites qualified competent Tanzanians to apply for consideration to the appointment as Chairperson and Directors to the Board of Directors PUMA Energy.
Qualification/Qualities of Individuals to be appointed as Chairperson and Members of the Board of Directors
MEM therefore desires that the Board of Directors of PUMA Energy shall be composed of individuals who have demonstrated significant achievements in their respective professional careers in business management and their service in either public or private sector, or both.
In light of Government policies and priorities on one hand, and the Company’s Mission and Vision on the other hand, the individuals are expected to possess qualifications, qualities and experience that will add value in the energy sector and the petroleum sub-sector in particular. Specifically, the following qualities are considered desirable to any candidate aspiring to become Chairperson or Member of the Board of Directors of PUMA Energy:
Citizen of Tanzania and graduate of accredited University;
Person of moral character, proven integrity, and professional competence;
At least ten (10) years experience in petroleum geosciences or engineering; health, safety and environment maters; law; business administration and management; finance; economics; chemical processing or refinery engineering;
Knowledge of the petroleum industry and regulation in different fields of the economy;
No conflict of interest with the Authority’s activities; and
Available for service as and when required.
Applications from suitable candidates enclosing certified copies of relevant certificates and Curriculum Vitae (CV) should reach the undersigned within seven (7) days from the date of this advertisement.
