State which qualities you’ve improved through unemployment

We recommend using your CV to focus on the traits and qualities you’ve improved through your period of unemployment. You may highlight the ways you’ve developed motivation and work ethic by applying for roles and uploading your CV to job boards such as CV-Library. That way, recruiters will see your proactive attitude towards work.
Keep it positive

Although it might be tempting to badmouth a previous employer if you left under dark clouds, you should remain positive when covering you work history on your CV. Make sure the recruiter gets a feel for the tasks you excelled at and any highlights from your stay. You don’t necessarily have to state your reason for leaving on your CV, but if you do, keep it brief and be sure to remain professional and objective.
Show what makes you an interesting applicant

It can be difficult to get an advantage over other applicants when you’re unemployed.

Too get ahead in the application process; you should highlight what makes you so interesting in your CV. Within your personal profile, depending on what you’ve done in your free time, you could talk about any travels you’ve been on or any hobbies you have. Framing yourself as an interesting applicant is a great way to leave the recruiter wanting to know more about you.
